Description
You'll need to look closely at this image which has a distinctly abstract feel to it. The spindles in the sunlight are about 18 inches behind the ones in the shade. The distance between the two appears less as the darkness of the building in the background foreshortens the gap and helps them merge together.

Barbie Corbett-Newmin
Hmm. Or it almost looks like an interior handrail against a striped wallpaper.
Wendy Wilton replied:

All very intriguing, Wendy- your timing and capture has resulted in a really unique and very attractive image with fine touches of light with shadows. The building behind and the rail sure do seem to have melded. How far away was the building? And for sure, the photo does have an abstract quality. Like this very much, Will...! F&L
Wendy Wilton replied:
Thanks very much for the kind and thoughtful comments Will. I think that my description was confusing so I've amended it and hope that helps....sometimes it's hard to explain what is where. I should remember to take a wider shot as well so that I can have the two to compare!!! All the best, Wendy

We take so much for granted! We climb the stairs, but don't 'see' their design/beauty. But , your image is wonder-ful, how you 'see', realize the intrinsic design so elegant, and, the light/shadows so artistic !! Kudos, Wendy....Well 'seen', wonderfully presented, thought provoking!!!, FAV.
Wendy Wilton replied:
Such a lovely compliment Viva...I truly am grateful for the kind ego-boost!!! Thanks a lot, Wendy

Nikolyn McDonald
Very well seen, Wendy. And I love the unexpected warmth of the wood in the otherwise black and white palette. That it's a strong diagonal against the verticals and subtly repeated in the upward shadow diagonal on the right makes it even more interesting.
Wendy Wilton replied:
Thanks so much for such a thoughtful compliment Nikolyn.....I truly appreciate the encouragement, Wendy
